One of the main advantages of home based work is that you can work whenever you want to. There are no bosses or supervisors around to pressure you to work. You can have all the time in the world, spend time with friends, with your family and even time for yourself. Well that if you finished doing what you are supposed to do.
Time management is very important for home based earners because, lack of pressure can cause idleness, which will spell disaster for the business/online work.
When we say time management, you allot a certain amount of time in a day as your "business hours". It doesn't necessarily mean that it has got to be in a strict fixed everyday schedules or you must allot at least 8 hours. It should be flexible to meet your deadlines and comfortable to suit your personal needs,
A lot of home-based workers feel like they are working harder than they really are. Spending day and night over a project; not knowing that their work is devouring them whole. This is because when you work at home there are a lot of distractions such as the TV, the internet, company and many more. Some people just find it hard to be productive when exposed to these. They feel like they've worked the whole day, but in reality they haven't accomplished anything at all.
The solution to this ordeal is proper balance and increased focus. Set your schedule so that you can maximize your time thus limiting the possibility of idleness. By doing this you are bound to accomplish more things than usual.
Also by maximizing your time, you will have additional time to relax and rest, which will lower your stress levels. Proper rest will give your mind and body a fresher feel, allowing you to function better and produce better output.

Clear and concise advice Ramvie. Focus and balance are keys. Working from home doesn't mean 18 hour days everyday. Learn to work efficiently. Think more, do less. Ryan
I absolutely agree!
I used to get up, start working, get ready for the day, work some more, go out, and then work again.
Without a set schedule, I felt like I worked all the time but felt guilty for not working whenever I was home.
Now I keep a set schedule where I'm super focused on work during a set amount of time but free to "check out" when those hours are done. It worked so brilliantly that I now help others to do the same at http://www.ScheduleMakeover.com
